About Bayes Comp

Bayes Comp 2023 is the third edition of the conference series with previous events in Florida 2020 and Barcelona 2018. It is also a reincarnation of the popular MCMSki events. Bayes Comp is the biennial conference of the Bayesian Computation Section of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis.

Keynote speakers

Tamara Broderick, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA

Anthony Lee, University of Bristol, UK

Veronika Rockova, The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, USA

Venue

Bayes Comp will be held at the Levi Summit, a conference centre at the Hotel Levi Panorama. Kittilä Airport is 13 km from Levi Summit.

Satellite events 12-14 March

EoI: Bayes Comp 2025

Expressions of interest (EoIs) to organise the next Bayes Comp meeting in 2025

The ISBA Computational Section is looking for expressions of interest (EoIs) to organise the next Bayes Comp meeting in 2025. As you know this is the main meeting of our section, usually gathering around 300 attendees.

The deadline for sending an expression of interest is April 30 2023. It should consist of 1-2 pages stating the names of the conference chairs, at least some names of scientific committee members, the planned venue and potential dates when the meeting can be held (ideally within Jan-May 2025).

After we receive the EoIs we will select 2-3 and ask for a full proposal, which would include a budget and other details. A budget and expected registration costs are not needed for the EoI, but if you have a rough idea you're free to include them as well.

EoIs should be sent to the section chair (David Rossell):  david.rossell@upf.edu
